More Than a Game. Bigger Than Ourselves.

The Littleton High School Football Program is proud to announce a new and meaningful partnership with the Littleton High School Unified Sports Program—a collaboration rooted in leadership, character, and community.
This initiative was unanimously approved by the LHS Football Athletes Advisory Committee, a group of student-athletes who meet monthly to help guide the direction and culture of the football program.
Their reason for this partnership was clear:
“All athletes deserve the same opportunity to participate in the sports they love—and to be given the same skillsets and tools to become successful, just like any other athlete.”
What is Unified Sports?
Unified Sports is a Special Olympics program that brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities to train, compete, and grow together on the same team—breaking down social barriers and building lasting friendships through the power of sport.
This is not about charity—it’s about competition, community, and creating a true sense of belonging for every athlete.
Unified Sports is part of the Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools® initiative and is supported by:
- Special Olympics International and Special Olympics Colorado
- The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA)
- Thousands of schools nationwide
- Coaches, educators, and students who believe in inclusion through action
At Littleton High School, Unified Sports provides students with a wide range of inclusive athletic opportunities, including bowling, basketball, kickball, and cheer. In addition to these programs, many Unified athletes also participate in traditional sports such as football, tennis, cross country, and track.
A Shared Mission: Targets for Touchdowns
To launch this partnership, a portion of the proceeds from the upcoming Targets for Touchdowns Fundraiser (the official LHS Football fundraiser) will go directly toward supporting the Unified Sports Program.
This fundraiser is more than just a financial opportunity—it’s a statement. A commitment to lifting each other up. A declaration that we rise by raising others.
This is how we build a team—and a school—that stands for something far greater than the scoreboard.
Support the mission. Fuel the pride. Help us build something bigger than football.
